South32’s new Marina Bay Singapore workplace objective was to deliver the effective use of space with the adaption of flexible work arrangements, whilst supporting wellbeing and a strong community culture.
This led the theme of a “workplace with heart”, where the new South32 accommodation within Income at Raffles is designed to be a hybrid workplace with a creative mix of ways people can meaningfully engage, socialize, and work with their peers in different modes and settings.
Biophilia through indoor plantings, access to daylight and best views is prioritised to the back of house office, instead of to the visitors areas, emphasising the value to their employees.
Furniture may be described as “Loose Fit” and minimal custom built-in joinery was created, so that the tenancy can absorb future change.
Mobility and connectivity have enabled the creation of a truly hybrid workplace that can flex with future changes within the business.
